How to Test a Laser Distance Sensor Using GESE Testing Software?
In a previous article, we showed you how to use our own testing software to test laser distance sensors. However, some of our clients are curious about other options for testing laser sensors. The good news is that there are indeed other software programs that can help with this task.
One such program is the GESE testing software. To start using GESE, simply go to their official website and download the software from there.
You can do so by following this link: http://www.geshe.com/en/support/download
Once you click on the above link, you will be taken directly to the download page where you can easily access and install GESE onto your computer. With this powerful tool, testing laser rangefinder sensors becomes simple and efficient.
After the installation, double click the icon to open it, you will see the test command as this below.
Double click on the test software to open it, then select the correct port and baud rate.
Once you have opened the port, refer to this list of commands:
“1shot Auto” for a single auto-test,
“Cntinus Auto” for continuous testing,
“Cntinus Exit” to exit continuous testing.
Please note that the software displays ASCII code which can be easily converted into data. If you have any further questions about testing, please leave us a message and we will respond promptly.
