Roadside Parking Measuring System Laser Range Sensor Module
A Roadside Parking Measuring System Laser Range Sensor Module is a arduino laser distance sensor device that uses laser technology to measure the distance between a vehicle and a parking spot. This raspberry pi laser module is an integral part of automated parking systems, designed to assist in the efficient management and allocation of parking spaces.
How parking measuring range sensor works:
When the laser beam hits the object (a parked car or a potential parking spot), it gets reflected back towards the laser range sensor. The laser ranging sensor detects the reflected laser beam and calculates the time it took for the beam to travel to the object and back. This time is directly proportional to the distance between the laser distance sensor and the object. Using the speed of light and the time taken for the round trip, the system can calculate the exact distance between the laser measuring sensor and the object.
The calculated distance data is then processed by the system’s control unit. Based on the data, the system decides whether the parking spot is occupied or free. The roadside parking measuring system provides an UART output signal, indicating the status of the parking space (occupied or free) to the central control unit which can then direct vehicles to available spots.
